The locanda del sale
Sitting on the top of the first hill of the Soglio village, Locanda del Sale presents you with views normally reserved for postcards. Due to the mild climate the tree covered mountains and lush green fields of Fontanabouna valley stay beautiful all year. This place is pure peace of mind. Still, the sea is only a short drive away, offering you the best of two worlds.
The Locanda is set in a classic Italian family house, recently renovated, but still showcasing all the charms of times past. We offer 3 spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms. Private parking is provided at no extra cost.
If you’d like to read, write or just take in nature, we have created two cosy lounge areas: One in the garden, overlooking the valley, and one inside on the ground floor of the house.

The Locanda is a family-run B&B owned by Nicole and Nicola.
While Nicola was born in Val Fontanabuona, Nicole left her hometown Bergamo and fell in love, not only with Nicola, but also with the landscapes of Soglio.
Both of us have worked abroad for years but missed Italy. Today we are happy to be back and decided to share the beauty of this place with even more people.
Nicola runs a restaurant and cocktail bar in Chiavari, about 20 minutes from here. He is passionate about wine and hopes to start his own production in Soglio one day. If you’re a wine lover too, he’ll make sure you’ll get something nice.
Nicole looks after the Locanda while keeping an eye on our son Achille. In her spare-time she designs clothes and does yoga. If you want to join the yoga class, please let us know!
